Quality Philosophy

Traction Sound is a British loudspeaker manufacturer. We design and build our products in Sussex. Our component suppliers all have a proven track record at the highest level. During our manufacturing process we operate strict quality control.

This means you get a great reliable loudspeaker.

Currently most of our drive units are manufactured in Italy. The amplifier modules used in self powered loudspeakers also come from an Italian world leader. Our cabinets are made from multi-laminate Birch Ply at our woodwork factory in Partridge Green. They are fully CNC cut and rebated before being glued and screwed. Woodwork is finished in tough semi textured Warnex paint. Grills and other metal components are produced at our local partners in Sussex.

Comprehensive Quality Control

Quality isn't just about using great components. It is also about testing and documenting that the required standard is met. Our final testing is conducted by trained and experienced technicians. They use tools including MLSSA, duel channel analysers and human ears.

At Traction Sound quality control starts at the door. We batch test all components as we receive them. Any parts that fail are returned to the supplier before they hit the assembly line. Our incoming quality policy applies to all parts starting with acoustical components, such as drivers, right down to fittings and fixings.

The digital domain does not escape our strict quality control procedure. DSP is programmed as the last stage before final testing. It is then checked both virtually and in the real world.
